Bar Rescue Recap S9E4: A Drunk, a Fruitfly, and a Knight Walk into a Bar

Rating: 1 out of 5.

In my least favorite episode of Bar Rescue ever, Jon takes a break from hosting because he “can’t be everywhere at once.” I would never begrudge Jon the opportunity to pursue anything he wants during his precious time on earth, but I will cry and cry and cry like an inconsolable baby every time he isn’t the host of Bar Rescue. Jon surrounds himself with talented and driven people, and Phil Wills steps in to demonstrate why he has been at Jon’s side for so many episodes over the years. I appreciate that Jon has such competent and wonderful people on his team. Nonetheless, Jon is as essential to Bar Rescue as tequila is to a margarita, and filming episodes without him is, in the words of my favorite hospitality expert, either ignorant or lazy, no matter how good the guest host is. So, please, Paramount, SHUT IT DOWN!

That is all.

I invite you to consider and share your answer in the Comments: Who, if anyone, would you want to take over for Jon if he pursues other interests besides Bar Rescue?
